How to remove engine carbon buildup [SOLVED]

I have a 2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE V6. Does Sea Foam Motor Treatment remove engine carbon and if so how much do I add to the fuel? The fuel tank contains 18.5 gallons.

Thanks for the question Luc. Engine “carbon” is ash that occurs when fuel and oil molecules don’t burn completely in the combustion chamber. The ash sticks to fuel gum/varnish that can form on intake valves, fuel injector nozzles, chamber hemispheres and piston tops. Important: Sea Foam Motor Treatment definitely helps to progressively minimize carbon buildup. For a more aggressive approach to upper engine carbon, go with Sea Foam Spray through the intake to clean intake valves and chamber areas (understand that Sea Foam Spray does not pass through the fuel injectors). Keep in mind that all of this is more like regular brushing of our teeth (hygiene) than it is a one-time knockout punch. Hope this helps!
