Sea Foam and Fleet Farm Partner for Boat Giveaway

The Upper Midwest is boating country.

Perhaps nobody knows that better than angling legend and Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame member Al Lindner, who calls Minnesota home. 

“The fact of the matter is that the Upper Midwest has the best multi-species freshwater fishing opportunities in the world,” Lindner says. 

Also a passionate Sea Foam ambassador, Lindner has used Motor Treatment for decades to keep his boats running strong. So when Sea Foam Marine PRO, a fuel system treatment specially formulated for marine engines, hit the market this spring, Lindner quickly became its biggest advocate. Part of that involves being the face of the Sea Foam Marine PRO Boat Sweepstakes, which offers the chance to win a new Lund 1775 Adventure Sport boat. 

“It’s really a way to help raise awareness of the brand-new product, to help encourage people to give it a try,” Lindner says.

Sea Foam coordinated the sweepstakes with long-time partner Fleet Farm, which has the boat on display in one of its Minnesota stores. Fleet Farm, which has stores throughout Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota, is also the exclusive retailer of Marine PRO through the end of the summer. 

Caesar Girod, Fleet Farm’s divisional vice president of merchandising, automotive, says the retailer is a one-stop shop for just about any marine need, from trolling motors to boat maintenance products to fishing gear and more. And after decades of partnership with Sea Foam and seeing firsthand the loyalty customers have to the brand, the boat promotion and making Fleet Farm the go-to store for Marine PRO made sense. 

“I think it was the partnership, the inherent trust our customers have with Sea Foam products in general, the inherent outdoor nature of our Upper Midwest customer that loves spending time outdoors on their boats, whether it’s for fishing or for family recreation,” Girod says. “We have more boat people per capita in our regions than literally anywhere else in the country. And it was important that we take care of our boating customer needs by having a new product in the line from a brand they know and trust.” 

Brian Miller, director of marketing for Sea Foam, says Fleet Farm’s strong customer relationships and reputation as a hub for outdoor enthusiasts made it a great fit for the Marine PRO launch and the boat giveaway.
